WHAT IS HYPNOBIRTHING

Hypnobirthing is a recognised, effective method of antenatal preparation, which compliments your natural instinct and ability to give birth.

Women are created with an amazing body to naturally birth their babies.  Due to the way our brains store information and our exposure to negativity surrounding labour, or previous traumatic births.  This gives us a preconception that it’s a painful, frightening experience, creates unnecessary fear and impacts our ability to just do what our bodies naturally know how to do.

Through Hypnobirthing practice you can reprogamme your subconscious mind, releasing any fear or negativity and empower yourself to achieve a positive labour and birth.

You will learn essential relaxation and breathing techniques, which will become normal practice for you throughout your pregnancy and be invaluable to you during labour and birth. These relaxation techniques will also benefit your general wellbeing, reduce stress/anxiety, enhance sleep and enable you to bond with your unborn baby.

You will understand your body and the physiology of birth, enabling you to make important decisions throughout your pregnancy and take control to ensure the best birth for you and your baby. We’ll also discuss how invaluable your birth companion will be and ensure they have the skills they need to support you completely so that you too can enjoy a beautiful, calm, life-changing moment during birth.

Hypnobirthing is completely different to being hypnotised and doesn’t require a state of trance/sleep. You will be fully aware of what’s happening, feel completely relaxed, able to interact and in complete control of the situation.
