MYTHS & FACTS

Hypnobirthing is completely different to being hypnotised and doesn’t require a state of trance/sleep.  You will be fully aware of what’s happening, feel completely relaxed, able to interact and in complete control of the situation.

Some clients can be very sceptical when starting their Hypnobirthing practice but this soon changes when they experience the power of this first hand.

I remember my Husband’s response when I suggested we do Hypnobirthing, I had to reassure him that there would be no ‘woo woo’, tie dye, joss sticks or ‘vagina whispering’.  Once we’d started the course he was in his element and it helped him to feel more useful throughout my pregnancy and birth so that he could enjoy the experience more.

Hypnobirthing doesn’t promise a perfect, pain-free birth but it will prepare you to birth without fear or tension, thus reducing pain.

Hypnobirthing can help reduce the need for intervention, rates of induction, epidural and C-Section, decrease the length of labour and reduce anxiety and pain during labour and birth.
